Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protective profile for the external corners of tiled surfaces. It has an anchoring flange perforated with trapezoidal holes that is embedded in the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile. The profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminium and coloured textured aluminium. QUADEC provides a contemporary style and aesthetic contrasts, and pairs with the QUADEC-FS strip profile as well as the DESIGNLINE edge profile to expand design possibilities. In addition to its decorative role, it protects tile edges from mechanical stress. The stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as edge protection, stair nosing or transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC is also used to create transitions, corners or moldings with other materials such as carpet, wood flooring, natural stone or epoxy resin coverings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the stainless steel QUADEC profile does not include an integrated grout spacer. Matching internal/external corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and resists mould and fungi. Clean the profiles periodically with a neutral cleaning agent. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive ambient conditions or chemical agents should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the stainless steel appearance and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g. bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be refreshed with a chrome polishing product. Oxide films on aluminium can be removed with a standard polishing agent, but they may reappear; avoid abrasive cleaners on anodized and coloured aluminium.
