Commercial Project Estimator

The position of commercial project estimator can be done full-time remotely, directly in the office, or in a hybrid model.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES


As a commercial project estimator, your role will consist of:

  • Estimating quantities
  • Working collaboratively with our commercial project manager teams
  • Designing quotes and sales orders

DETAILED LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Estimating quantities from plans, specifications, and addenda using our software
  • Evaluating and confirming the list of materials required for the execution of works
  • Advising and presenting available products that could meet client needs
  • Designing quotes and sales orders
  • Creating installation plans for subcontractors
  • Establishing a timeline with the client and documenting it
  • Following up on quotes and invoicing
  • Ensuring the satisfaction and retention of commercial, industrial, and general contractor clients
  • Ensuring and contributing to the profitability and growth of the company
  • Contributing to the search for new clients

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Training or experience in estimating plans and specifications
  • Relevant experience in floor covering (asset)
  • Attention to detail
  • Resourceful, versatile, professional, and organized
  • An excellent team player, customer service-oriented, quality of service

Sales and Customer Service Advisor

Working at Emard means joining a large family, a dedicated and dynamic team. We work hard, but we also have a lot of fun.

If you are passionate about sales, autonomous, want to excel and earn commissions, then this position is for you.

  • The work schedule includes weekends and may include one evening per week.
  • The schedule includes between 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Salary based on experience and sales commission.

What would your daily life look like?

  • Provide customer service regarding Flooring; in-store, by phone and by email
  • Assist customers in their interior design decision-making process
  • Provide customer service with sustained attention to customers
  • Aim for performance and accountability focused on achieving results
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Continuously improve your technical skills
  • Be technically knowledgeable about all products in store, including new arrivals, and understand each price list
  • Master all your work tools and follow their technological evolution
  • Develop your versatility; work on varied tasks and help others
  • Develop your autonomy; perform precise, complete, and right-first-time work
  • Participate equally in all tasks to make the store as welcoming, friendly, and efficient as possible.

More specifically:

  • Greet customers in store and answer phone calls and emails
  • Be responsible for listening to customers and actively assisting them in their purchasing process
  • Ensure that all customers are served adequately according to the company's values
  • Diagnose their actual needs
  • Select products suited to their needs
  • Provide customers with the technical information they require
  • Estimate the total cost of their purchases, including installation information
  • Ensure excellent follow-up of your ongoing files and the choices of contractor customers
  • Record all computer transactions including quotes, sales orders, invoices, payments, credits, cash receipts, and service calls
  • Perform residential estimates for projects and based on plans and specifications
  • Apply work instructions rigorously, meticulously, and accurately
  • Take charge of the collection and entire coordination of resolving your customers' service calls
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of the store; actively participate in cleaning and tidying
  • Showcase samples; facilitate sales through adequate merchandising
  • Properly process sample loans and merchandise returns
  • Apply all company rules, procedures, and policies and behave ethically at all times
  • Support warehouse and/or office work such as filing and data entry when there is an overflow or when there is no logistics agent or a lack of office staff or low store traffic, depending on your skills
  • Participate in the annual inventory count
  • Perform all other related tasks and assist colleagues, as needed

We need you if:

  • You have experience in sales and retail (minimum 1 year)
  • You know the flooring industry (asset)
  • You know the Surfagest software (asset)
  • You have a good command of French (oral and written)
  • You are fluent in English (oral and written)

Delivery driver – Class 5

You like to work very physically, you are resourceful and dynamic, then this position is made for you.

What would your daily life look like?

  • Delivering different types of materials to our residential, commercial and new construction customers
  • Load and unload the transport vehicle (manually or with mechanical assistance when available)
  • Making deliveries at height
  • Driving delivery vehicles
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance of trucks
  • Working as a team
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position

We need you if

  • You are in good physical shape, you are ready to work on the move and you are able to lift heavy loads, approximately 50lbs, every day
  • You have a valid driver's license; CLASS 5
  • You like teamwork, you are switched on and you have a good sense of initiative.
  • You are efficient in carrying out your tasks
  • You are diligent and punctual
  • You have a good command of French (oral and written)
  • You are available Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (working hours sometimes vary)
