Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protective profile for external corners of tiled surfaces. It features a perforated anchoring flange with trapezoidal holes that embeds into the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile. The profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminium and colored textured aluminium. QUADEC brings a contemporary style and aesthetic contrasts, and coordinates with the QUADEC-FS strip profile as well as the DESIGNLINE edging profile to expand design possibilities. Beyond its decorative role, it protects tile edges from mechanical stress. The stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as edge protection, stair nosing or a transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC can also be used to create transitions, corners or picture-rail edges with other materials such as carpet, hardwood, natural stone or epoxy resin coverings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the QUADEC stainless steel profile does not include an integrated grout spacer. Matching inside/outside corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and resists mold and fungal growth. Periodically clean the profiles with a neutral cleaning agent. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive ambient conditions or chemicals should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the appearance of the stainless steel and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g., hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be refreshed with a chrome polishing product. Oxidation films on aluminium can be removed with an ordinary polishing agent, but they may reappear; avoid abrasive cleaners on anodized and colored aluminium.
