Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protective profile for the external corners of tiled surfaces. It features an anchoring flange perforated with trapezoidal holes that is embedded into the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile. The profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminum and colored textured aluminum. QUADEC brings a contemporary style and aesthetic contrast, and coordinates with the QUADEC-FS strip profile as well as the DESIGNLINE edging profile to expand design possibilities. Beyond its decorative role, it protects tile edges from mechanical stresses. The stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as edge protection, stair nosing or as a transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC can also be used to create transitions, corners or trims with other materials such as carpet, wood flooring, natural stone or epoxy resin coatings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the stainless steel QUADEC profile does not include an integrated grout spacer. Matching internal/external corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and resists mold and fungi. Periodically clean the profiles with a neutral cleaning agent. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive environmental conditions or chemical agents should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the appearance of stainless steel and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g., hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be refreshed with a chrome polish. Oxide films on aluminum can be removed with a regular metal polish but may reappear; avoid abrasive cleaners on anodized and colored aluminum.
