Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protective profile for external corners of tiled surfaces. It features an anchor flange perforated with trapezoidal holes that embeds into the thin-set mortar under the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile. The profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminium and coloured textured aluminium. QUADEC brings a contemporary style and aesthetic contrasts, and pairs with the QUADEC-FS strip profile as well as the DESIGNLINE border profile to expand design possibilities. Beyond its decorative role, it protects tile edges against mechanical stress. The stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as edge protection, stair nosing or a transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC can also be used to create transitions, corners or moldings with other materials such as carpet, hardwood, natural stone or epoxy resin coverings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the stainless steel QUADEC profile does not include an integrated grout spacer. Matching inside/outside corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and resists mould and mildew. Clean the profiles periodically with a neutral cleaning agent. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive environmental conditions or chemical agents should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the appearance of the stainless steel and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g., hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be restored with a chrome-polishing product. Oxide films on aluminium can be removed with a regular polishing agent, but they may reappear; avoid abrasive cleaners on anodized and coloured aluminium.
