Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protective profile for external corners of tiled surfaces. It features an anchoring flange perforated with trapezoidal holes that is embedded in the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile. The profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminium and coloured textured aluminium. QUADEC provides a contemporary style and aesthetic contrasts, and coordinates with the QUADEC-FS strip profile and the DESIGNLINE edging profile to expand design possibilities. Besides its decorative role, it protects tile edges from mechanical stresses. The stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as an edge protector, stair nosing or transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC is also used to create transitions, corners or mouldings with other materials such as carpet, hardwood, natural stone or epoxy resin coverings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the stainless steel QUADEC profile does not have an integrated grout spacer. Matching internal/external corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and resists mould and mildew. Clean the profiles periodically with a neutral cleaning agent. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive environmental conditions or chemical agents should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the appearance of the stainless steel and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g. bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be restored with a chrome polishing product. Oxidation films on aluminium can be removed with an ordinary polishing agent, but they may reappear; avoid abrasive cleaners on anodized and coloured aluminium.
