Description

The Schluter‑KERDI‑LINE recessed linear drain was developed to integrate perfectly with bonded waterproofing assemblies. It can be installed along a wall or centered in the floor. A single floor slope toward KERDI‑LINE allows the use of large-format tiles and produces attractive, easy-to-achieve layouts. KERDI‑LINE consists of a stainless steel channel body combined with a frame and either a grate or a tileable cover plate. The channel body includes a standard 2" (50 mm) outlet designed to connect directly to the pipe using the appropriate mechanical coupling, making the product suitable for both new construction and renovation. The outlet is available in a centered or offset position; the offset version is located 8" (20.3 cm) from the channel edge to easily bypass obstacles (e.g., joists). KERDI‑LINE includes a matching polystyrene channel support that allows height adjustment relative to KERDI‑SHOWER‑LT/-LTS bases. The channel flange features a KERDI bonding flange for a simple, reliable connection to the bonded system on the floor and adjacent walls. Lengths are available from 20" to 72" (50 to 180 cm) in 4" (10 cm) increments. The bonding flange extends approximately 1" (2.5 cm) beyond each side of the channel. The grate assembly includes a stainless steel frame adjustable to accommodate tile or stone thickness and layout: 1/8" to 1" (3 to 25 mm) for standard grate assemblies, and 1/4" to 23/32" (6 to 18 mm) for the "style" grate assemblies. Stainless steel grates fit into the frame. The standard assembly has a visible surface of approximately 3/8" (10 mm) once installed and can accept two grate models: SOLID (A) or SQUARE (B). Standard versions are offered in brushed or chrome finishes. The SQUARE option (B) can be fitted with a locking mechanism (stainless steel, 3/4" – 19 mm frame only) for sites requiring a lockable grate (healthcare, educational facilities, etc.). The "style" frame provides a minimal visible surface after installation and pairs with three grates: FLORAL (E), CURVE (F) or PURE (G), available in brushed finish. Because the tileable cover plate is flush with the channel body, it accepts tiles of any thickness.
