Description

The Schluter‑KERDI‑LINE recessed linear drain was developed to integrate seamlessly with bonded waterproofing assemblies. It is installed along a wall or centered in the floor. A single slope toward the KERDI‑LINE allows the use of large-format tiles and yields attractive, easy-to-achieve layouts. KERDI‑LINE consists of a stainless steel channel body paired with a frame and either a grate or a tileable cover. The body incorporates a standard 2" (50 mm) outlet designed to be connected directly to the drainpipe using the appropriate mechanical adapter, making the product suitable for both new construction and renovations. The outlet is available in a centered or offset position; the offset version is located 8" (20.3 cm) from the channel edge to easily bypass obstacles (e.g., joists). KERDI‑LINE includes a matching polystyrene channel support that allows height adjustment relative to the KERDI‑SHOWER‑LT/-LTS bases. The channel rim features a KERDI bonding flange, providing a simple and reliable connection to the bonded system on the adjacent floor and walls. Available lengths range from 20" to 72" (50 to 180 cm) in 4" (10 cm) increments. The bonding flange extends approximately 1" (2.5 cm) beyond each side of the channel. The grate assembly includes a stainless steel frame adjustable for tile or stone thickness and layout: 1/8" to 1" (3 to 25 mm) for standard grate assemblies, and 1/4" to 23/32" (6 to 18 mm) for "style" grate assemblies. Stainless steel grates insert into the frame. The standard assembly provides a visible surface of approximately 3/8" (10 mm) once installed and can accept two grate patterns: SOLID (A) or SQUARE (B). Standard versions are offered in brushed or chrome finishes. The SQUARE (B) option can be fitted with a locking mechanism (stainless steel, 3/4" – 19 mm frame only) for locations requiring a lockable grate (healthcare, educational facilities, etc.). The "style" frame offers a minimal visible surface after installation and pairs with three grates: FLORAL (E), CURVE (F) or PURE (G), available in a brushed finish. Because the tileable cover is flush with the channel body, it accepts tiles of any thickness.
