Description

Schluter-QUADEC is a finishing and protection profile designed for exterior corners of tiled surfaces. Its perforated anchoring flange, fitted with trapezoidal openings, embeds into the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face features a square edge for a clean, contemporary finish. Available in stainless steel (including textured finish), anodized aluminium and coloured textured aluminium, QUADEC brings a modern style and interesting visual contrasts. It coordinates with the QUADEC‑FS strip profile and the DESIGNLINE edging profile to multiply aesthetic possibilities. Beyond its decorative role, it effectively protects the tile edge from mechanical stress. The stainless steel version offers high wear resistance and is used as an edge-protection profile, stair nosing for steps, or as a transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC also allows for transitions, angles and mouldings between tile and other materials (carpet, hardwood, natural stone, epoxy resin). Some models include a grout spacer ensuring a uniform joint between the tile and the profile; the stainless steel version, however, does not have an integrated spacer. Matching internal/external corners and connectors are available. Maintenance: QUADEC resists mould and fungi and requires no special care. Clean the profiles periodically with a neutral cleaner. Steel surfaces exposed to ambient air or aggressive chemicals should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve appearance and limit the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g., hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline solutions (e.g., bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive cleaners or tools. Stainless steel surfaces can regain extra shine with a chrome polish. Oxide films on aluminium can be removed with ordinary metal polish, but may reappear; for anodized or coloured aluminium, avoid abrasive cleaners.
