Summer arrives on June 20, and Météomédia is predicting it will be "hot, humid, and unstable" in Quebec . No matter! Here's a selection of 10 decorative items for the yard that will make the season beautiful and enjoyable.
1 – Hanging chair at Anthropologie
DE-MES-RÊVES rattan hanging chair, with cushion. Please note: it deserves (and needs) to be protected from the elements. Personally, I would provide a place for it outside, and another inside... To read a book or simply contemplate nature, in a different relationship with gravitational force.

2 – Wide striped outdoor rug at Simons
Made with over 50% recycled material, this rug (really inexpensive!) is part of the Living Outside collection by Simons Maison, and was designed in Canada. Its size (35.5 x 51 in) is perfect for a small balcony, but the fabric can also be placed at the foot of an outdoor sofa or alongside a lounge chair. The weave is UV-resistant and easy to maintain.

3 – Drinking fountain at Crate&Barrel
What a beautiful object... For a punch or a simple lemonade, this drinks fountain, made of ribbed glass and solid renewable mango wood, will sit majestically on a table for a long time at your summer receptions. It has a non-drip tap, and the bowl is dishwasher safe. Beauty that dispenses goodness!

4 – Folding beach chair with wooden armrests, at Zara Home
They call it a "beach chair," but this folding chair is just as suitable for the backyard or the nearest park. And what elegance! The chair offers four backrest angles, its fabric is made of 100% recycled polyester, its rods are made of metal, and its armrests are made of ash wood. A handle on the back makes it easy to carry.

10 – Parasol Flourish at Nüspace
Finally, a little extravagance... This slightly expensive vintage-looking parasol – currently available for pre-order, with arrival in stores expected around July 15 – is "a statement piece that combines comfort, charm, and originality," as the distributor's website, Nüspace, claims. Yes, it is! Plus, its diameter of over 8 feet and 8 inches provides a generous shaded area on the hottest days. With a glass of lemonade in hand, summer will be beautiful and pleasant...
