Summer is in full swing, and flowers are a real eye-catcher. In all shapes and colors, they beautify our yards, flowerbeds, and balconies. Why not incorporate this beauty into our interior decor?
In the countryside, I'm lucky enough to have a garden teeming with flowers. The previous owner was an anthophile—from the Greek words "anthos" (flower) and "philos" (friend)—and won landscaping competitions. I've also discovered a passion, and every day during the summer I'm here, I make my "Bouquet of the Day." The most beautiful ones, once dried, end up hung upside down on a wall around the house.
Flowers aren't just beautiful. Their scents, colors, and silhouettes certainly inspire wonder, but they also create calm and serene spaces, reduce stress, and reconnect us with nature. In short, they bring general well-being and, very often, a good mood.
Besides a trip to the local florist, how can you incorporate flowers into your decor? By choosing decorative elements with floral motifs, artwork that features them, objects shaped like them...
Here are some examples.

A work of botanical art
I could have chosen a painting, a photograph, an embroidery... The idea is to incorporate the flower into your home through a work of art. This poster has a vintage—and trendy—look reminiscent of illustrations in old encyclopedias. Oh, and for your information, it features a bay laurel.
