It features a perforated anchoring flange with trapezoidal holes that embeds into the thin-set mortar beneath the tiles, while the visible face presents a square edge along the tile.\n\nThe profile is available in stainless steel, structured-finish stainless steel, anodized aluminum and textured, colored aluminum. QUADEC provides a contemporary look and aesthetic contrast, and coordinates with the QUADEC-FS strip profile and the DESIGNLINE edge profile to expand design possibilities. Beyond its decorative role, it protects tile edges from mechanical stress.\n\nThe stainless steel version offers excellent wear resistance and is suitable as edge protection, stair nosing, or a transition profile between two floor coverings. QUADEC can also be used to create transitions, corners or picture rails with other materials such as carpet, hardwood, natural stone or epoxy resin coatings. An integrated grout spacer ensures a uniform joint between the tile and the profile. Note: the stainless steel QUADEC profile does not include an integrated grout spacer. Matching internal\/external corners and connectors are available.\n\nMaintenance: Schluter-QUADEC requires no special maintenance and is resistant to mold and fungi. Clean the profiles periodically with a neutral cleanser. Steel surfaces exposed to aggressive environmental conditions or chemical agents should be cleaned regularly with a neutral cleaner to preserve the appearance of the stainless steel and reduce the risk of corrosion. Avoid strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline cleaners (e.g. bleach, ammonia, chlorine). Do not use abrasive products or tools. Stainless steel can be refreshed with a chrome polish.
